How long should my hair be if this is my first time getting waxed?
Prior to being waxed we recommend that clients stop shaving, trimming, or using any other hair removal methods 2-3 weeks prior to your scheduled appointment.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for my Brazilian wax?
Avoid caffeine/alcohol 2-3 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Caffeine/alcohol can make the skin more sensitive to waxing
Take an ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your appointment if you are able
Wear loose clothing
Hydrate with lots of water. Waxing over dehydrated skin can cause irritation and discomfort
What do I do after my Brazilian wax?
Continue to wear loose clothing for the remainder of the day to avoid excess irritation
Avoid working out 24-48 hours after your wax
Avoid pools, saunas, or the beach 24-48 hours after waxing to avoid excess irritation
Adhere to all after skin care recommendations. Each clients skin care needs will be different based on hair and skin type.
Can I wax my Brazilian on my period?
Of course! As long as you wear a tampon.
Be prepared some clients experience additional sensitivity when on their period.
Keep in mind the cancelation policy still applies, it might be best to schedule your appointments accordingly if you know you are more sensitive during this time
Is it safe to wax my Brazilian while pregnant?
Yes!
If you wax already, continue to stay on your waxing cycle to ensure lasting wax results
If you are new to waxing it is recommended to start as early as possible in your pregnancy so your skin will get use to waxing and your hairs are thinner by the end of your pregnancy
Wait 6-8 weeks after giving birth to return to waxing
